This is not a paid position. While advanced attendees of the program may get the oppurtunity to receive pay, it is not a guarentee. Most attendees will not receive any type of monetary compensation for particpation in Family Church's Intership program. This also includes no promise of future employment. While the intern program may lead to a leadership role in the church, it is not a guarantee that completion of this program will lead to employment with Family Church or another church organization.
What are the requirements?
Each particpant is required ot have their own means of transportation in order to fulfill their obligatiosn at various meetings, campuses and events.
Each particpant must have access to a working computer and the ability to login and use the internet in order to particpate in the online classroom portion of the program.
Each particpant is required to live within a reasonable driving distance of one of our three campuses in order to effectively engage the community as part of the church.
Each applicant is expected to pursue a higher education either during the program or prior to entering the Intern program.
Can i be married and/or have children?
Interns who are married and or have children are welcomed into the Intern program. Each applicant will be required to meet the program's expectations and standards regardless of marital status. If you can complete the requirements of the program while caring for a family then we want to see you walk out this calling and will help you in any way to succeed.
Can I have a job while in this program?
We understand that some participants will need to work a seperate job during thier time in this program. The particpant must fully understand that all assignments and tasks have deadlines. A seperate job may make this difficult to do, however, the staff is ready and willing to help you complete the program.
Do I have to attend Family Church?
This program is specifically designed around ministries and through the leadership of Family Church. It is therefore required that anyone who participates in this program must regularly attend Family Church and at many times serve in a ministry role at Family Church. If you are not currently plugged in and want to be part of this program, you will need to committ to attending and serving within this local body.
Do I need to agree to FC's doctrinal statements?
In order to particpate in the Intern program, you will need to agree and affirm our doctrinal statmeent. Our doctrinal statement can be found below by clicking the button labed "What We Believe". This doctrinal statement is within the parameters outlined in the "Baptist Faith and Message".
